  • Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Artificial Intelligence and Data Science (JAIDA)
  • Congress President of the International Artificial Intelligence and Data Science Congress (ICADA)

Dear Esteemed Colleagues, Researchers, and Industry Leaders,

As the Artificial Intelligence and Data Science Application and Research Center of İzmir Katip Çelebi University, our primary objective is to contribute to the advancement of artificial intelligence in our country by organizing congresses, academic journals, training programs, scientific events, research projects, and collaborative initiatives. These activities are carried out in alignment with the “Digital Türkiye” vision and the “National Technology Initiative” development goals set forth in the “National Artificial Intelligence Strategy” prepared by the Presidency of the Republic of Türkiye Digital Transformation Office and the Ministry of Industry and Technology.

In line with these objectives, we are honored to host the sixth edition of the International Artificial Intelligence and Data Science Congress, organized annually by our Center, this year in collaboration with Nevşehir Hacı Bektaş Veli University.

Within the scope of the congress, the “Workshop of Artificial Intelligence Center Directors,” which will be inaugurated by a keynote opening address delivered by the Member of the Council of Higher Education, Prof. Dr. Derviş Karaboğa, aims to bring together research centers from universities, public institutions, and the private sector engaged in artificial intelligence and related fields across the country. The workshop is intended to provide a platform for evaluating current developments in the field and for articulating a strategic vision that will guide future advancements.

In a rapidly evolving and inherently multi-dimensional domain such as artificial intelligence, it has become evident that a purely technical perspective is insufficient, and that comprehensive approaches incorporating social, ethical, and legal dimensions are essential. In this context, the “Artificial Intelligence and Law” Panel, to be held as part of the congress, is regarded as a highly significant initiative for fostering interdisciplinary awareness and contributing to the development of informed and responsible frameworks in this field. We would like to extend our sincere appreciation in advance to all panelists and invited speakers for their valuable contributions. We cordially invite distinguished researchers to participate in our congress, where the transformative impact of artificial intelligence across a broad spectrum of disciplines—from engineering to law, from education to healthcare, and from finance to the arts—will be examined in collaboration with representatives from academia, public institutions, and industry.

With my warmest regards,

Prof. Dr. Ayşegül Alaybeyoğlu
Chair of the Congress
